It’s time to deliver the NDIS promise

The campaign for a NDIS was one of the biggest and most successful grassroots actions that Australia has ever seen.

Uniting under the ‘Every Australian Counts’ banner, people with disability, carers and disability service providers reached out to the Australian public to demand politicians rebuild a broken system.

We secured the support of all political parties to create a new system that puts people with disability at the centre and makes Australia a better and fairer place.

The NDIS is still the right reform for Australia. But the way it’s being implemented is placing enormous pressure on people with disability, their carers and disability service providers right across Australia.

We know it can work better.

“Make it Work” NDIS community forums

People with disability, carers and disability service providers are uniting again to demand our leaders make the NDIS work and deliver on the promise they made to all Australians.

We are holding 18 Make it Work community forums in capital cities and regional towns across Australia, to give those living and working under scheme the chance to let their local MPs know what is going on.

The forums will provide an opportunity for:

1. People with disability and their carers to talk about what needs to be done to fix the NDIS issues impacting on their daily lives;

2. Local disability service providers to voice their concerns about NDIS issues impacting their ability to grow and meet demand for services; and

3. Local MPs to hear these concerns and better advocate for their local communities in Canberra
